These four skyscrapers form a commercial complex built on the grounds of the old Real Madrid sports complex. The four towers are Torre Foster, Torre PWC, Torre Cristal and Torre Emperador Castellana. Next to them stands a fifth building, Caleido, which will be inaugurated in 2021. These skyscrapers mainly house offices, but there are also facilities such as a hotel and a garden. In addition, each tower has several underground levels for parking and road access.
Construction on these four buildings began in 2004 and work was completed in 2008. Over 820 feet tall, the Torre Foster is the tallest in the complex and also in Spain. It was designed by Norman Foster. The floors are organized like a bookcase. Argentine architect César Pelli is the author of the Torre Cristal project, which is 816 feet tall. Its highest point is intended to house a garden. The PwC Tower is a 52-story skyscraper 236m high. This building, designed by Carlos Rubio Carvajal and Enrique Álvarez-Sala Walter, is the only one of the four that was built by Spanish architects. It houses a 5-star luxury hotel, the Eurostars Madrid Tower, which occupies up to the 31st floor and features a two-story dining room with panoramic city views. With more than fifty floors, Torre Emperador Castellana is 731 feet tall. Construction of the fifth skyscraper, Caleido, began in 2017. It is 181 meters high and will be divided into two sections: a 20-meter base, spread over four floors, and a 161-meter tower spread over 36 floors. It has 33,000 m2 of large green spaces and an open commercial area of 16,000 m2.
